We were excited to try the Ali Baba Cafe, having read such great things about it...but we were really disappointed with the service and food. We were seated and forgotten about. Finally, after a long wait, our order was taken. The crab salad came, and was fairly good. The mains arrived and instead of risotto, I was given chicken and shrimp in sauce, with rice on the side. The chicken was inedible, with a rubber consistency, and burnt onions. The veg was overcooked, burnt instead of grilled. The beef curry was like leather with no curry flavour. Not what we'd hoped for...it's too bad; Sudbury could use a place with really good food at these prices. I would return if reviews for this new location became more favourable!
