When Christy Stone-Curry opened The Piano Café in 2002, she had a cozy coffee shop in mind. Today she still serves coffees, but The Piano Café has grown into a 100-seat lunch restaurant with a private dining room for up to 12 people and a 25-seat patio.
Located at the main cross roads in pretty Port Perry, the restaurant has become something of a Port Perry hub with a clientele made up of both visitors and loyal locals. “It’s kind of like a 'ladies who lunch' place,” says Christy. “I’m the lead chef of a team who all have culinary backgrounds. I am the business person, but love the cooking.”
We went for my wives birthday. This Cafe is amazing as they only do lunch and it always seems to be lined up. It is frustrating to try and get a table so we called ahead for reservations. The server was young and efficent, the owner came over to speak with us and make sure things were good.
Reading other reviews they must have been somewhere else as this place does not do anything but lunch?? I don't think.
