Jack Lee's may not have as many choices as many of the other Chinese buffets in Cornwall but they have the tastiest menu. My spareribs were succulent, with a little soy sauce added, chicken balls topped with cherry sauce was fresh and great tasting. The rice is unmatchable, really wonderful and the broccoli is fresh and comes in large pieces. I loved the dim lighting in this restaurant and thought the food was really fresh considering it was a buffet. After the meal you are given fortune cookies that are also just as fresh. I would definitely take the quality over the quantity of choices in some other Chinese buffets. The only thing that was lacking was the dessert section, the choices were very few.
we went around 6pm and it was packed but it's so big that seating was not an issue. the food was hot, and a wide selection of most of the things my husband and kids like to eat. kids eat half off which was great. i didn't experience the other issues i've read here but they say that they close at 8pm so i am assuming it was near close when they went. all in all, it was central, convenient especially with kids, cheap, and the food was hot, tasted great and wide selection to choose from. i expected worse but it is worth a try for sure.
Food was hard and we found hair in two different dishes. Disgusting.
Do not eat here. We went here because it was centrally located. But when we got there, there was only 1 other family there, who seemed to be relaxing and not eating. No wonder, the food was all old and crusty. The rice was hardened over from sitting under the lights for a long time. The chicken balls were hard and chewy, not crispy, but stale tasting. Then when someone complained that the food wasn't fresh, she kicked him out. And make him pay for his (1) chicken wing and made him leave. Then the owner continued to complained to anyone she could find, including us. She made a total scene and made my party uncomfortable. It was embarrassing to say the least. Our waitress was polite enough but a little pushy, before we could finish gnawing on our first chicken ball she gave us the check and shut off the lights to the rest of the building. Pretty much kicking us out too!
very well worth going there again and again and again.... :D
