The Bean Bar is a really good low key restaurant in the Westdale neighbourhood. They provide an extensive menu with a wide variety to choose from at a reasonable price. The food is fantastic and comes in portions that are not overwhelming where you can't finish it - just perfect. I brought my parents here to see what it was like and it exceeded their expectations. I had the ham and maple cranberry wrap and it was terrific. Definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxed and mellow which is nice to have conversation. It's a good place for lunch or an early supper. The staff is super friendly so the service is great. If you're ever in Westdale, it's definitely worth checking out. Read more

I had the olive dish to start, this dish is simple but very well done, I enjoy some olives with a nice cold pint and a piece of bread to go with it, the oil lightly flavored with fresh herbs, although a better quality oil would have been nice it was still well done. After that i decided to try the fish and chips since it is VERY hard to find good fish and chips I thought if they understand how olives can be enjoyed they might do a good fish a chip, and I was right, homemade chips and a perfectly cooked fish. My husband and I both ordered the ham and eggs breakfast, which came with toast, jam, and home fries. The ham wasn't greasy, the scrambled eggs were "real ", and the home fries were piping hot. Kudos to the cook in the kitchen. The coffee was hot, but too strong for my tastes. Charlene, our server, made sure our cups were topped up and that we were satisfied with our meal. Price of coffee is included in the price of breakfast, and if you're there before 11:30 there's a $1 discount per plate. We would definitely go again if we were passing through this area. Read more

Williams is essentially an expanded coffee house, that offers food which is edible, but not great. But, that is to be expected, as no one would go here expecting fine dining. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, service is quick and the place seems to be clean. Being right across from McMaster, it is often full of students, many who come to study, and staff doesn't seem to mind. We love to visit Ottawa Street to shop, go to the farmer's market and so much more! We have been to Poco Loco many times. We first visited last year. We had the tacos. We did not return for 6 months and the man who owns the restaurant remembered us. The nachos do need to be the first thing you eat if you order them. The burritos are great and filling! I love to drink a smoothie afterward. The food is not fast, but it is good. The one big table shared by customers is lined with hot sauces which is always an adventure. Read more
