Enjoy the view on these West Van patios

West Vancouver is known as the gateway to the Sea to Sky Highway and is home to some of the most scenic restaurants and eateries around. These patios take full advantage of both the mountains and the sea, offering a prime place to take in the municipality’s truly breathtaking views.

The Red Lion Bar & Grill

1
2427 Marine Dr, West Vancouver, BC V7V 1L3

The Red Lion is one of West Vancouver’s favourite pubs. The decent selection of beers, including international stalwarts, national macros and local crafts is one of the best in the neighbourhood. They also have a solid menu featuring classic pub fare ranging from burgers to bangers and mash. The patio takes advantage of the intimate nature and vintage charm of Dundarave, but be sure to head down a little early as the patio fills up fast in the summer.

Salmon House On The Hill

2
2229 Folkestone Way, West Vancouver, BC V7S 2Y6

For nearly 40 years the Salmon House has been treating Lower Mainland residents to a menu that is truly representative of all the West Coast has to offer, including BC salmon, local oysters and mussels. They also have a truly great patio that boasts stunning views of Stanley Park and the city of Vancouver beyond it. This is the place to go when you want to indulge in some delicious food or sample one of the most extensive wine lists in the city.

Crazy Raven Bar & Grill

3
6000 Cypress Bowl Rd, Vancouver, BC V7S 3E7

It’s pretty hard to beat the Crazy Raven. Not only is it a great place to get a beer and enjoy the après ski atmosphere, but it has an awesome patio, as well. Overlooking the ski slopes of Cypress Mountain, it offers plenty of opportunity to watch the skiers in the winter and take in the natural beauty throughout the year. Luckily, the patio is massive, ensuring plenty of seating, even during winter’s busy season.

Boathouse Restaurant

4
6695 Nelson Ave, West Vancouver, BC V7W 2B2

Situated where the mountains meet the ocean, Horseshoe Bay is one of West Vancouver's most beautiful spots. This patio is one of the last stops before boarding the ferry to Vancouver Island, and it is located right on the dock so you can watch the ferries come and go. Enjoy one of their fine wines or a fresh seafood dish before you board the next one.

Olive & Anchor Restaurant

5
6418 Bay St, West Vancouver, BC V7W 2H1

Another great spot in Horseshoe Bay, the Olive and Anchor is a little more casual than the Boathouse, but offers nearly the same view of the harbour. The patio is small and mostly shaded in summer, but it’s a great spot to sit and enjoy an easy lunch or romantic dinner. The food menu is heavy on local seafood, including oysters, salmon and mussels, but also has a number of burgers, sandwiches and salads.

On a cold, snowy Edmonton night, nothing says lovin’ like a cup of hot chocolate. It’s no surprise this drink was originally dubbed the “elixir of the gods.” Regardless of the variety you select, or whether you opt for the simplest hot chocolate on the menu, all I can say is ... don’t forget the marshmallows.
You don’t have to travel to Paris to have a true fine-dining experience; you can enjoy an upscale dinner, complete with a five-course meal and fine wine, right here at home. Victoria is a fine-dining destination with an excellent reputation – where talented chefs enjoy crafting delicious gourmet dishes from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Paired with a nice cup of coffee or topped with a scoop of ice cream, pie is unbeatable comfort food. And yet it faces stiff competition from cupcakes as the city’s dessert of choice. Well, pie is fighting back with old fashioned deliciousness as well as new and tantalizing flavours.
