In the U.S.A., our facility Modern Track Machinery Inc., is located in Elgin, Illinois just outside Chicago. Modern Track Machinery Canada Ltd. is located in Mississaug,a Ontario near Toronto. We are the wholly owned subsidiaries of Geismar Corporation of France.Brief History:Geismar Corporation was founded in 1924 in Colmar, France supplying tools and hardware to the growing railway industry. In the years following WWII, with Europe undergoing unprecedented reconstruction and mechanization, Geismar contributed the first lag-bolting machine. Within Geismar, the following decades brought development in all areas of railway maintenance worldwide.
