My wife and I used to dine here more often in the past but I went back recently and was reminded me why we like it so much. The owners, John and Molly are very friendly and make some of the best doubles and vegetarian rotti's that we've ever had.
We mainly go there for the vegetarian cusine.
You won't be disappointed in your meal if you pick it up there. They can take awhile to make sometimes but you get what you wait for. Quality isn't fast.

Excellent food made by people who care. The Chicken Roti is excellent. Spiced just right, and a good sized portions. The meal is fresh, made to order and the service friendly. My kids are now big fans of Caribbean food. The Doubles are also very good. The Jerk Chicken and Ox Tails are delicious. My family and I get take out here about once every three weeks. A neighborhood gem.

Batter! It seems to be the hardest thing to get right. I've tried places all over the city and for the the upper west side this can't be beat. If in the south east end, try British Style. This was our first visit. Staff are pleasant and friendly, not to mention patient and helpful. Prices are very reasonable and the fish was quite good, not greasy and the fries were excellent.
Next trip will try the Halibut or White fish and maybe check out a pie to take home too. Nice decor, good lighting, and quite clean.
