I found this gem through Expedia. Even though it's uptown it's in the nice Yonge-Sheppard corridor,with easy access to downtown via the subway or any suburban destination via the Highway 401. Toronto is notorious for pricey hotels,so being able to find one at around a hundred bucks a night works for me. It's located in a nice neighborhood,with lots of good shopping and dining nearby. One of the criteria, I judge a hotel by besides cleanliness is the bed and linens. All were first rate. I'd highly recommend Maryam Hotel & Suites. Read more

We stayed here for two days. Our room was a very nice suite with a sitting area. The pool was nice but needs more venting because the steam makes it hard to breath. Check-in and out was easy and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, the restaurant was not worth the money. If you are going to charge that kind of price or bacon and eggs it should be perfect and it was hardly that. I was pleasantly surprised to find a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave available. I have been to Waterfalls Lodge 6 or 7 times and have stayed a week each time. All of their cabins are located right on the water and they have about 10,000 acres of water on 7 adjoining lakes. Most times I go there I catch tons of HUGE smallmouth bass and lots of Walleye. The food is totally awesome and all of it is made from scratch. The Boats are some of the best I have fished from. We go there on the American Plan which includes Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. If you are interested in a great meal, great fishing, and a relaxing vacation then be sure to check out Waterfalls Lodge.
