In business since December 2013, Iseult Beaudoin and Rachel Cameron’s SalonCouronné is a cute neighbourhood salon; it’s a go-to place for hair care in Little Italy.
The two friends decided to open their salon after eight years spent together as stylists at Salon Aveda. "We always worked beside each other; eventually, we became good friends," Rachel reminisces.
Working in such a big salon with many coworkers has its fair share of advantages, but eventually, the pair began planning the next step in their career. "You realize that there are things you like and things you don’t, that you long for more freedom, for ways to express yourself creatively. This realization brought us to start envisioning both our careers’ next move, which led to Salon Couronné," recalls Rachel. "We wanted to work in a salon that showcased the best both of us had to offer, and that felt like us, in which we could infuse a bit of our personalities," Iseult adds.
