I wish there was an option for 0 stars. I made an online reservation a week in advance, only to receive a call on the day of pickup to inform mw that they don't even have a car for me. This was on a Saturday with plans to visit family out of town. Weekend vacation was ruined, thanks advantage! I don't understand how a company can make more reservations than available vehicles. Extremely unprofessional. Would never use them again
Doesn't even deserve one star. WORST car rental EVER. Do not use. There are so many reputable rentals around there, Advantage is not one of them. Advantage rented me a car through my insurance, they still needed a credit card on file so I had to give them mine. Through out the rental they charged me twice before I could even return the car. First from a Mississauga location and again from the Scarborough location. Now they are refusing to refund me the complete amount and I am having the worse time talking to corporate. Because they charged my credit card without me knowing my bills that were suppose to go out couldn't. Now I'm stuck with the late fees and it goes on my credit report. They take no accountability for that and still haven't issued me a refund! Worst customer service EVER!!!
Was referred to Advantage Car Rentals by my body shop because I was involved in an accident with my own car. They picked me up right on time and I was in & out of the office within minutes. They set up the rental with my insurance company and billed them directly. The vehicle they provided to me (Honda CRV) was excellent! When my vehicle was done I returned the rental and they provided me a shuttle to the shop. The whole experience was excellent! I'll most definitely refer my friends and family to them!
These people don't know how to run a business. They rarely answer their phone or return phone calls when messages are left. They give out cars that don't fully function. Worst service I've had in a very long time. Very rude as well.
Because of work I travel to Mississauga every couple of months. I use to rent from the big companies at the airport, but this time I thought I'd give a company my sister referred me to (Advantage Car Rental). Their service was great - The rate competitive. The vehicle they provided me was exactly what I needed. The over-all experience was excellent! I would recommend them to anyone in the Mississauga area.
I rented a car from this company for the period Dec 22 , 2011 - Jan 2, 2012. The pick up at the airport and the rental process was fine. However, when I returned the car at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 2 the office was closed. No mention of the closure nor any sign that the office would be closed on Jan. 2 was posted. As a result I had to pay taxi fare from the Matheson location to Pearson Airport. When I spoke to Luke at Advantage to ask for a $25 refund for taxi fare ( never mind the inconvenience) he basically told me I was stupid for not realizing that Jan 2 was a holiday for his company and nothing was owed to me. Apart from being rude and inconsiderate Advantage seems to be unwilling to accept that they made an error, Advantage seems to be happy blaming the customer instead.
